The Burghfield Santa’s have sampled a wide range of beers from all our amazing local brewers so to select the very best for the festival. It was hard work but someone had to do it!

Plenty of hops were used against a malt base that uses a little bit of Carapils to ensure there’s enough body to carry them at the lower ABV.
First time at a beer festival
A light golden hoppy pale ale named after a local rock and folk band brewed from only English grown ingredients. Mashed from Extra Pale Maris Otter and Crystal malts from Norfolk and bittered with Fuggle and Golding hops from a Worcestershire farm.

Burghfest exclusive brew. Late-hopped with Cascade
Brewed using Slovenian Stryian Golding hops which impart a zesty Lime flavour. The mix of Cara malt and Wheat malt give a smooth, creamy body to the beer. Special brew for Burghfest late-hopped with Cascade for added punch.

American Pale Ale
CAMRA Best Beer of Oxfordshire. Runner Up 2017
This is a crisp golden coloured ale made with pale malted barley. We selected 4 of the “big dog” hops from the USA to bring out huge citrus and floral flavours which make your taste buds tingle.
English Pale Ale
This Beer is a handcrafted English Pale Ale which is very light in colour based on the malted pale ale barley used in the brew. This beer was created as a summer session ale using English bittering hops and 2 types of late flavour hops from New Zealand and USA to get a delicious zesty taste. You can drink this one all day long.

Extra Pale Ale
This is a really light and refreshing extra pale ale made using English malted barley and a couple of late whole hops. The aroma should be light, possibly tropical fruits or cut grass and the taste will be citrus and possibly hints of tangerine or rose.
